We loved our tour guide (shout out to Sexi Papi) who gave us lots of great info about life in DR along the tour. Yes, it is a lot of travel (air conditioned van to boat, to covered truck, to horseback ride, and then all this in reverse back to your resort). But we felt it was fun & interesting the entire way.
